This is perfection of dancing and artistry. Every time I watch this fragment, I am struck by their interpretation: the acting as well as the grandeur of each movement and pose. The blending of the two is awesome. I do not know if today dancers focus so much on the acting as Makarova and Nagy do here. I feel like the focus is more on technique and somehow the artistic dimension loses a bit. When I watch this video, it simply feels different. They held the poses longer, they extend their arms and legs more. Their technique is so flawless that one sees only the two characters they are acting. I wonder if anyone else feels the same with me. I hope I managed to make my point clear, though.
