Each afternoon begins at the barre and then moves out to the center floor where you will practice the basic movement skills —the linking steps that move you from one foot to the other into various poses; basic turning movements such as the promenade and the simple pirouette; and, most of all, the classic dancing steps —the waltz and the balancé. Whenever you are tired, feel free to sit and rest.

NOTE: This Intensive is not for those with no previous ballet experience. You must have had some previous ballet training, preferably in Finis Jhung’s Absolute Beginner and Beginner Ballet classes. You should know how to plié, relevé, and balance on one foot.
