  • IMPORTANT: I understand that this is a more intimate class where Finis gives more tailored feedback. I have taken more than five zoom ballet barres with Finis and know how to "get on my leg." I have adequate lighting to be clearly seen and will wear something that helps me be seen clearly in my space.

Bounce your plié relevé

WHAT IS IT?
If you wish to advance and perform center floor dancing combinations, you must learn to plié relevé very quickly – in just one count, one beat of the music. In this hour-long intensive limited to only 10 students, you will learn to do that. These exercises will teach you how to connect all the muscles in your leg from toes to hip so that you will have the power to bounce your plié relevé just like a rubber ball – you slam your heel (heels) down on the floor and you’re up on half-toe. I teach this all-important action of the feet and knees as “PING-SLAM!” Once you learn how to do it, you’re a ballet dancer!

WHO IS IT FOR?
Adult ballet beginners capable of performing the exercises below. You should have a barre or a high-backed chair that is shoulder level for support. You must be warmed up, wearing proper ballet attire and shoes, either from the preceding class or on your own. There are no traveling steps, but you do need enough room to fully open both arms. Set AND TEST your camera so that Finis can see your entire body from head to toe, in profile.
