DESCRIPTION

As he did in the Pirouette Class 2 DVD, Finis has broken down the pirouette en dedans (simple, attitude, arabesque, à la seconde) into its component parts and shows you the proper sequence of movement which leads to beautifully balanced and controlled turns. After Finis shows you how to do each exercise, count-by-count, it is demonstrated with elegant precision by Isabella Boylston, the rising star soloist and of The American Ballet Theatre who is receiving standing ovations and critical acclaim for her performances of ballerina roles in both traditional and contemporary classics. Look, listen, learn, and enjoy!

CUSTOMER COMMENTS

“I wanted to let you know that 4 of my students were chosen to dance with the Moscow Ballet Company when they performed The Nutcracker in Gillette, WY. The master ballet director, Olga, chose my students out of hundreds of children who auditioned because of their technique. Their technique is outstanding because I teach them what I have learned from you in your videos. The ‘how and the why’ makes all the difference in the world. Thank you again for sharing your ‘pearls of wisdom’ so we are better ballet instructors for our students. You are so gracious in your corrections. The words you choose and your tone of voice are very soothing and uplifting to the student— ‘you are the student, I know you can do this, and I’m going to show you how.’ I love way you break the movement into physics. I can correct someone, let them practice, and before they go home they have conquered their biggest fear such as turns. They get it!

"Your tribute to ballet world is immense . . . I love you because you focus on the essence of the movement &emdash; where it starts from — and it's so logical and beautiful! All the best to you and your teaching!"
—Aurora Benelli, Firenze, Italy

"What a delight! I am thrilled! It is a priceless DVD with your directions, her execution and the exquisite combinations you choreographed. Thank you!"
—Ileana Soare, NYC, NY
