TEACHER & ADULT STUDENT WORKSHOP: THE FUNDAMENTALS OF BALLET TECHNIQUE
The Ailey Studios in New York City
August 7 & 8, 2011
$425
Whether you're a teacher or an adult beginner, this 10-hour weekend workshop will turn Mystery into Mastery. Since 1972, Finis Jhung has been one of America's most sought-after teachers because of his singular ability to make ballet accessible to dancers of all talents, ages and body types. His innovative teaching technique is based on years of studying the world's best dancers in performance and on video and finding that these great artists prepare for balances, turns and jumps in ways not taught in the traditional ballet class.
At this workshop, you will learn the "untaught" preparations which make a world of difference. Learn what really matters. Bring your dance clothes so you can take class. When you wish, sit and observe. To dance is to live!
